As per his discussion with Men’s Health, Zac Efron has not undergone any plastic surgery. According to his statement, his changed facial appearance, especially his jawline, is the result of an injury that he got in 2013, which further resulted in a broken jaw.
Zac got his chin hanging off his face and he has been taking the rehabilitation therapy for the same, until 2020 when he had to took an year off from his therapy because he was shooting for a video for Bill Nye’s “Earth Day Musical” special for Facebook Watch.
He went on by saying that muscles in the mouth work together to bring the symphony, but his masseter muscles, which are used for chewing, had to overcompensate because of his other muscles, which were not working well.
Zac credited his changed jaw as a result of the injury, therapy and the recovery he had to undergo and not as the result of some specific cosmetic enhancements.

Zac Efron’s assumed plastic surgery is nothing more than an accident as per him that led him to undergo specific therapies to be normal again.
It all happened on a day in 2013 when Zac was roaming in his house with his socks off on the floor and then fell off the same, getting his jaw on the corner of a granite fountain.
The accident was so severe that he soon went unconscious and found his chin hanging off his face when he gained consciousness. The experience was so devastating for him that he went on by saying,
“It was funny,”
“It sucks. I almost died, but we’re good.”
What Experts Said About Zac’s Changing Looks?
Although Zac chose to be really clear about what happened to him and about the entire incident, what experts said about it is something different.
As per the New York Post, the Celebrity facial plastic surgeon Dr. Sam Rizk believes it’s not just about the accident and the therapy that brought changes in Zac’s appearance. There is something more about it, and he even said:
“He probably took the opportunity, in addition to correcting it, to do something better,”
The surgeon believes that Zac has taken the accident as an opportunity and made some changes to his jaw through some plastic surgery, as it is more lifted than ever before.
Not just that, he even suspected some of the other changes in his appearance like the cheeks which are fuller and more prominent now because of the estimated fillers. He also added:
“Cheeks don’t get fuller as you age,”
“You lose volume in the cheeks when you age. When he was younger he had a flatter cheek.”
Even Zac’s curved eyebrows did not escape the surgeon’s attention and he mentioned that Zac has always had a straight eyebrows and now all of a sudden there is an arch noticiable in his eyebrows.
Thus, even though Zac never came clear about any of the plastic surgery or the cosmetic enhancements, his changed appearance is still making the lines.
